Rottneros’ responsibilities extend beyond the company’s boundaries. We use raw material from forests, resources and skills in a responsible way. Our products are used in fibre-based applications that can replace fossil-based ones. In so doing, we contribute to a cleaner world and create sustainable value for our stakeholders.
Our employees are spread across three production units as well as general Group sales and support functions.
The Group comprises Rottneros AB and the subsidiaries Rottneros Mill, Vallvik Mill, Rottneros Packaging, Nykvist Skogs and Rottneros Baltic.
The Rottneros Group transformes approximately 1,500,000 cubic metres of renewable forest raw material into sustainable fibre products.

In order to achieve our long-term goals, Rottneros has set out a number of strategic priorities for safety, sustainability, productivity and offering. Business is conducted in a responsible and sustainable way in order to deliver on our financial, environmental and social objectives.
Employees’ safety and health is a pivotal issue in our day-to-day operations. Rottneros aims to be a safe, inclusive and attractive workplace, where employees can feel comfortable, both on a physical and psychosocial level.

We increase production volumes for prioritised products step by step, by means of higher availability and gradually increased capacity. Within this framework, the results are achieved by focusing on safety, preventive maintenance, a clear structure, order and tidiness, optimised procedures as well as the continual elimination of bottlenecks.

The capital market can count on long-term sustainability and profitability. Rottneros’ strategy is to focus on the areas of use in which our products create added value, and by means of scaled-up volumes, we can counteract cost inflation. The intention is to distribute 30%-50% of net profit to the shareholders.

Suppliers can expect fair negotiations, long-term relations and a safe workplace. Rottneros creates value for Society by offering work opportunities in smaller locations in Sweden, which generate taxes and social contributions for their municipalities.
